Hard Times: Shell Down De Street

in collaboration with Levi Naidu-Mitchell

Degree Show One, Central Saint Martins, London UK

In our streets, our collective rhythmic gravitation towards a celebrative revolt of the body may free us from any expectation of work. [...] By the pelvic flare of our indeterminable bodies, we refuse the right to work. By the explosive scream that casts our bodies towards freedom,  We clamour for the right to wuk.

Hard Times, a collaboration with Levi Naidu-Mitchell, involved a series of Wukshops (workshops),  performative interventions, lectures and discussions leading up to the mobilisation of a small-scale Mas band. A brief interview,  facilitated by University of the Arts London, covering some of the intentions of this work, may be seen here.
